Cat in Tree Rescued by WJET Camera Man.

Cat in TreeWhat do you do when there’s a cat stuck 40 feet up in a tree...well Sunday an Erie lady found out there’s not much you can do when its on the weekend. Karen Balos said Saturday afternoon her neighbors were packing to go out of town when their cat Socks decided to run up a 40-foot tree in her back yard. The cat was in the tree for more than 24 hours. Baslos says she called police, fire department and animal rescue and everybody said they could not help on a Sunday night. "Im really p.o.d at everybody. I mean just because theres nobody that can do anything. I mean its a little cat, its gonna starve tonight and whats gonna happen? Hes either gonna get struck by lightening or hes gonna fall out of the tree. Hes gonna die, something’s gonna happen to him." There is a happy ending to this story…our WJET photographer Greg Vorse does work on Sundays and climbed the 40 feet up in the tree and got a hold of socks and brought him to safety. Good work Greg!
