One Hot Day

watch video
With temperatures reaching into the 90s on Monday, you need to remember to mind the heat. Whether youre working outdoors, exercising, or simply enjoying the warm, sunny weather, heat related illnesses can catch up with you before you know it. Heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and severe sun burn can be prevented with little effort and common sense. Its important to take the proper precautions when you know youre going to be exposed to the sun for extended periods of time. Drink plenty of fluids, especially water. Also, take some time for a break in the shade to cool off for a few minutes. You should also wear a high SPF sunblock to prevent sunburn. And if youre out at the beach, as the temperatures of the Presque Isle waters are closing in on 70 degrees, its a fun way to cool off by simply jumping in.
