Celebrate Erie Music Acts Revealed
"Something for everyone..." That's how city officials are describing this year's musical line-up for Celebrate Erie.
Friday morning, Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott revealed the headliners and opening acts for the festival which is scheduled for August
16th through the 19th, which begins Thursday night with "Taste of Erie."
Friday night is "Tribute Night" headlining a Beatles tribute band "1964". Opening for them will be an Elton John tribute band, Bennie and the Jets.
"Rock Night" is Saturday night. The Bacon Brothers, featuring actor Kevin Bacon will headline the evening. The Romantics who sing "What I Like About You" will open the show.
Finally, Sunday night is "Country Night." Country music stars Emerson Drive will take the stage. They most recently won the Academy of Country Music's Best Vocal Group award.
Officials and sponsors who made these acts possible are excited about this year's line-up.
