The Safety Net Enhancement Act of 2007 was announced Monday by Congressman Phil English.
Totaling 39 weeks, the act will add 13 weeks of assistance for those who have used all of the provided benefits during a time of high unemployment.
Another transition is repealing the federal income tax on unemployment compensation.
