Officials To Washington DC

Various city and county officials were in Washington, DC Tuesday morning, hoping to move forward with Eries airport runway project. Erie City Mayor Joe Sinnott along with Erie County Executive Mark Divecchio and members of the airport authority met with the Federal Aviation Administration. The 67 million dollar project has hit a budget shortfall due to the amount of federal funding available. Officials are hoping to find out exactly how much the FAA will be able to give to this project.
