PA Governor's School for the Performing Arts

The Pennsylvania Governors School for the Performing Arts is in session at Mercyhurst College. The school, sponsored by the State Department of Education, is for gifted and talented students of Pennsylvania. Programs at the school include visual arts, music, dance, performing arts and writing. The program is highly competitive; taking only 200 of this years more than 1,500 applicants. There is only one local student out of the 200 participants.
