Firefighter Trying to Get Job Back

watch video
The first woman to ever be hired as an Erie city firefighter is now fighting to get her job back.

Mary Wolski has filed papers in United States District Court arguing that she should have never been released from the Erie Fire Department.

Fire Chief Tony Pol fired Wolski in 2007 after she reportedly tried to kill herself by taking an overdose of pills and setting clothes on fire in a bathtub.

Wolski argues that her actions were a result of depression... and her job should be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
