ONE OF ERIE RADIO`S MOST SIGNIFICANT FIGURES, THE MAN WHO BROUGHT JAZZ MUSIC INTO AREA HOME FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS WAS HONORED TONIGHT ON WQLN. AL LUBEIEJEWSKI HAS TAKEN OVER THE JAZZ SHOW ON QLN HOSTED FOR THREE DECADES BY JOE DIGIORGIO. JOE BEGAN HOSTING "JAZZ WITH JOE" ON WQLN BACK IN 1974. WQLN HOSTED A LIVE TRIBUTE TO DIGIORGIO EARLIER THIS EVENING. FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS DIGIORGIO`S VOICE COULD BE HEARD ON ERIE RADIO. IN FACT, FROGGY 94 POINT 7`S MORNING CO-HOST CAPTAIN DAN GEARY TOLD US DIGIORGIO WAS AN INSPIRATION TO HIM TO MAKE RADIO HIS LIFE AS WELL.
