Franklin Business Expands

A Franklin business cut the ribbon Wednesday afternoon on a high-tech, state-of-the-art, fall protection technology and training center. The move helps keep hundreds of jobs in Northwest Pennsylvania. Miller Fall Protection and its parent company have officially opened the newest addition to their business. Miller Fall Protection manufactures personal protective equipment and safety products like body harnesses and life lines. They`re designed to protect people from hazards in the workplace. The company was founded in 1945, and at one point was about to move to Mexico. But instead of heading south, the company decided to stay in Franklin... and actually expanded its operation by adding a new 50,000 square foot building equipped with the newest technology. The business now employs more than 450 workers.
