Chautauqua Shooting

A man was shot dead after dragging a New York State Trooper behind his all terrain vehicle. The incident happened just before one o`clock this morning. New York State Troopers stopped Bradley Horton of Silver Creek, New York in the town of Sheridan, on Center Road. Following that stop Horton apparently sped away on his a-t-v dragging one of the state trooper with him for about a mile. The trooper reportedly fired at Horton to break loose. Horton was found in a field off West Sheridan Road with a gun shot wounds, he was life-flighted to Hamot Medical Center where he died. The trooper was also taken to the hospital. The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Chautauqua County District Attorney`s Office has begun a joint investigation.
