Presque Isle Beaches Reopened
Peninsula beaches closed over the weekend due to high bacteria levels were reopened Monday afternoon.
This has been one of the worst years on record for beach closings.
Now, park officials are pushing for new testing that`s more efficient and can cut down the time you`re forced to stay out of the water.
The current testing takes 24 hours before results are ready.
It`s hoped the new tests will cut that wait to less than two hours.
