Blood Supply Dangerously Low
As doctors here in Erie continue to help the trooper shot last night, Community Blood Bank officials say supply levels are hitting an all-time low.
Due to Trooper Donald Baker`s injuries, the Blood bank says 40 pints of blood have been used.
On average the blood bank says a typical surgery or accident would require just 3 or 4 pints.
With the holiday weekend now in full swing, blood bank officials are concerned that should another accident arise, they won`t have the blood to help.
