East 25th Street Fire
Some tense moments for Erie firefighters after getting reports of people trapped in a burning house.
Smoke was pouring out of this house in the 600 block of East 25th street when the first units arrived just after 3:30 this afternoon.
There were reports of people trapped inside the building, but a search turned up none.
A family dog died in the fire, Another dog was taken to the animal hospital for treatment.
A fire inspector was called to the scene to look for a cause to the fire that apparently started on the first floor.
