Erie Residents Join National Vigil

Americans across the country are honoring the 3000th solider who died in Iraq, holding silent vigils against the war. 22-year-old Specialist Dustin Donica was killed December 28th in a small arms fire. More than three dozen people showed up at the vigil located outside the Federal Building in downtown Erie. The 9-11 Peace Initiative of Erie organized the event. The coalition of 18 groups is calling for an end to the war. On March 20th, the country will mark the 4th anniversary of the war.
