Negotiations Continue in Millcreek
Negotiations between the Millcreek Education Association and the Millcreek School Board wrapped up late Wednesday night.
The two teams have only a couple of weeks left to reach a contract agreement. The teachers have indicated they could strike as early as February 1st.
After more than four hours of discussions at the bargaining table, the two teams were unable to come to an agreement.
However, board members did give the impression they may finally be making progress.
The teachers` union brought in a proposal to the Millcreek School Board and members say while they are working toward a settlement, they are not quite there yet.
The major issues remain: salary, health care and retirement.
There are two more rounds of talks scheduled for the next two Tuesdays.
