Embezzler Pleads Guilty

A Franklin woman accused of embezzling 3.1 million dollars pleads guilty to three counts of mail fraud and three counts of income tax evasion. Kristal Ann Clark was in Federal Court Friday where she admitted taking money from clients at Parker Hunter Incorporated, that`s an Oil City investment firm where she worked. The IRS and FBI says Clark doctored client records at Parker Hunter and also tampered with the firm`s computer financial records between 1995 and March 2005. According to the IRS, the embezzled money was used to remodel Clark`s home in Sandycreek Township. Clark was also accused of failing to report the income she gained and pay taxes on it in 2002, 2003, and 2004. Clark was released on $10,000 bond and will be sentenced May 3rd.
