The family of the man murdered by Marjorie Diehl Armstrong gets the payback they wanted ... in court.
In a settlement approved by Erie County Judge William Cunningham, Margorie Diehl Armstrong has agreed to pay the family of James Roden $55,000 dollars.
To pay that judgment, sources say Diehl Armstrong will sign over a piece of land she owns in Chautauqua County, New York, and her rights in other pending civil cases.
In September 2003, police charged Diehl Armstrong with killing Roden and then asking William Rothstein to hide the body in a freezer at his house.
She pleaded guilty but mentally ill in January 2005 to charges including third-degree murder.
