GAF Employees Learn More About Their Severance Package
G-A-F employees are learning about their enhanced severance package. Many union reps and employees met at the Avalon Hotel on Sunday to discuss the new terms. Last month, GAF announced its closure at the end of March.
Its divided into four areas including, production, safety, attendence, and maximum bonuses of up to four thousand dollars. Severances are paid based on years to the company. All production and maintenance employees must achieve 85 percent of their plan rates. Some employees are upset that the company won`t allow them to miss two days of work without a hospital note. Employees will be asked to sign a waiver. All severances will be paid after GAF closes.
