Mild Winter Hurts The Peak

The unseasonably warm winter put a financial strain on business for Peek`n Peak resort. Officials haven`t made snow in over a month, but say they were able to make all the white stuff they needed by the middle of January. This season, the peak installed a new two million dollar snow making system. Officials had to close down for eight days this winter. They can`t disclose how much money they`ve lost or gained at this point, but say the shortfall may prevent them from installing four new ski lifts. They expect to stay open until Easter. There`s no word on if they`ll increase ski package rates next year.
