Plans for the new lake Erie Bio-Fuels plant are moving along more quickly than expected. So far they have installed most of the plant equipment, hired eight employees and have already lined up suppliers and distributors. The 54-million dollar plant, located on the former international paper site, is expected to be able to make 45 million gallons of bio-diesel fuel each year. Thats more than the entire nation produced in 2004. The plant is expected to bring 40 new jobs to our area. It could be operational by August.
