GAF Burns Again

watch video
Its the second fire in just two days at the GAF plant. Flames started shooting out of a 32-thousand gallon asphalt holding tank just before 11:30 Wednesday morning. This is the same tank that caught fire on Tuesday. Firefighters say crews were removing products to shut down the plant when the first fire erupted. According to the Fire Chief, the insulation rekindled; sparking Wednesday’s blaze. Firefighters had the fire under control within 20 minutes. GAF closed their doors last month after more than 120 years on Eries Bayfront.
