Numerous guns and two hand grenades were seized as part of an on-going investigation into local burglaries. Eries anti-crime unit served a search warrant March 30th at May’s Tavern located on East Lake road. Four of the guns recovered were reported stolen and a live hand grenade was hanging above the bar within the reach of patrons. It was a potentially dangerous situation that police along with the ATF are trying to bring a close. 75-year old Richard May has been charged with three counts of receiving stolen property as a result of this investigation. Other charges are pending.
