Robotic Competition Ends

Robotic CompetitionSunday afternoon local students arrived home from Atlanta, Georgia after participating in the 2007 Robotics Competition. The Red Barron Team, consisted of students from McDowell and Fairview High Schools. Six weeks of designing buildings and testing a robot boiled down to one big weekend. 350 teams from 22 countries were broken into different divisions. The McDowell - Fairview team placed 62 out of 80 teams in their division The other Erie County team was made up of students from Collegiate Academy, Villa Maria Academy and Central High placed 46 out of 93 teams in their division.
