It's the Superbowl of academics and in just one week, the Academic Sports League team from Collegiate Academy will be in Honolulu, Hawaii competing for a national title. The team's nine members say they will spend this week cramming and doing all the studying they can. The theme of this year's competition is "China and Its Influence on the World." Team members will compete against students from across the country in ten different categories. The students have already finished the essay portion of the test, through an online site. Members of the team say they are nervous about competing the the nearly nine
hour flight to Hawaii, but they're also looking forward to taking in all the sights and sounds of the island. WJET-TV will be traveling with the team to Hawaii and will have daily coverage of the competition.
