The Wattsburg School Board has voted to start the 2008 school year on August 29. The school year would then end on June 4. Some were worried because there were rumors circulating that school for Wattsburg students would begin as late as October with no snow make-up days, no spring break and little to no holiday break. The school board members claim that was never an option. The school year start date has eased the mind of a lot of parents and students. The school board will meet next week to discuss teachers' contracts.
