Connueaut Lake Park Update

A local developer is one step closer to purchasing 3.3 acres of land at Conneaut Lake Park. It is a purchase that could ultimately save the park financially. Summit Township Supervisors unanimously approved a change to a housing ordinance Tuesday night, which means that developer Gregory Sutterlin can now build ten residences per acre instead of six. But, the sale has not been approved just yet. Since the park is a public trust operated under court supervision, Judge Anthony Vardaro must decide if the sale is appropriate. A hearing was held Tuesday in front of Judge Vardaro. He is expected to make a decision in a few days.
