Car Slams into Power Pole

watch video
Erie Firefighters were forced to cut the top off a car to get to the driver after he slammed into a power pole. The accident happened around 8:30 A.M. Wednesday morning at the intersection of 8th and Myrtle. The driver was traveling east on 8th Street when he lost control of his car, clipped a fire hydrant, hit the pole and came within inches of slamming into the corner building. Jeanette George who owns the building told us that another car crashed through the front of her building three yeas ago.
