A news conference is scheduled for Thursday morning to discuss the Seneca Indian nation's announcement that they want to take back the land that carries the New State Thruway, through their reservation.
The nation informed Governor Eliot Spitzer that any "continued use of the thruway without nation permission [was] an act of trespass."
The Governor's Office released a statement saying only that "the Seneca's sued over this matter in 1990 and lost."
Thursday's news conference will be held at 10 a.m. at the Cattauragus Reservation in Irving, New York.
