Ground Broken for Stryker Facility

Construction is now in full swing on a brand new Army National Guard facility in Cambridge Springs. State, county and local officials helped kick off construction Friday on the $19 million readiness center and field maintenance shop. The facility will be the new home of members of the First Battalion, 112th Infantry, who are currently based at facilities in Erie, Meadville and Corry. Construction on the new facility is expected to be finished by next summer. No word yet on what will happen to the existing Army National Guard buildings.
