There’s still no encouraging news from officials of Conneaut Lake Park in Crawford County, but there is still plenty of hope. A Crawford County Judge has ruled against a proposed land sale that would have given the amusement park the cash it needs to pay its debt and open this Memorial Day Weekend. Now, park officials are looking at reworking the sales agreement to meet the courts expectations. They are also considering appealing to the community to donate upwards of 300-thousand dollars to get the park open this season. Park manager George Deshner is confident the donations will benefit the entire community. Part of that plan, unveiled by the park manager Tuesday would be the sale of gold colored tokens once used at the park. They feature the blue streak roller coaster. Park officials feel any plans to raise the money through donations would not need court approval, and may be the only way to open the park by July 4th. We have learned however, that activities planned for the Hotel Conneaut, like high school proms are likely to proceed as scheduled
