Landlord Fee

watch video
I f you are a landlord, the city of Erie's New apartment inspection law is right around the corner. The license application and fee for the "Rental Unit Program" is due to the city by April 30th and inspections are expected to start in June. The program was adopted by City council in 2006 and the inspection law mandates an annual license fee of 40-dollars for each rental unit, as well as safety inspections every two years. If your landlord doesn't make the deadline they will face some serious consequeses. If a rental unit fails the inspection, it won't receive the occupancy permit the city requires.
