The 4 day search for a missing Meadville teenager is now over. 17-year old Mary Gingerich was found with her father, who's also a convicted killer. Now that Edward Gingerich is back behind bars, that's where the Amish community hopes he remains. Edward Gingerich was arraigned in Titusville Sunday night. He's charged with concealment of the whereabouts of a child, as well as other related charges. Police had been searching since Thursday for his 17-year old daughter, Mary. State Police located both Gingerich and his daughter Sunday at a residence in McKean County. Mary has been returned to the custody of her grandparents. This isn't the first time Gingerich has been sent to jail. In March of 1993, Gingerich brutally murdered his wife in front of their children. He was later found guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter, but mentally ill. While the Amish are extremely forgiving people, the presence of Ed Gingerich in their community has caused anguish and fear. The newer theology among some of the Amish is that no matter what you do, if you ask forgiveness, you will go to heaven. It's a theology that Gingerich as well as his brothers reportedly follow. Gingerich is being held in Crawford County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bond.
