The battle over bus service continued in Girard Monday night. At issue is whether the Girard School District will be replacing it's district employed bus drivers with a contract busing company. Monday night, drivers and parents were once again at the school board meeting to voice their concerns over the plan, which district officials estimate could save three-million dollars over the next decade. Girard School District Superintendent, Dr. Tracy expects a vote to be taken on the bus issue in June.
