Wattsburg teachers will walk the picket lines if a new contract is not reached with the school district by May 16th. Now we're hearing from concerned parents. The school district and the education association have met several times, but continue to fail in getting a contract. During the last meeting between the teachers association and the school board, the education association's proposal to come to a resolution was denied. The big problems are said to be salary issues and retroactivity in pay. Taxpayers say they don't want this fight to affect students. The teachers have been without a contract since last June.
