Wednesday’s, threat at Gannon comes as universities across the nation are evaluating their emergency plans after last week's Virginia Tech shootings. There have been times in recent history when shooting sprees occur in clusters. Many times, those who make the threats are people who feel they're not heard and may be trying to prove a point. Copy-cat threats regardless of their nature should always be taken seriously. Copy-cat crimes like we saw Wednesday at Gannon can also scare students from attending classes, especially when they're still trying to deal with what happened at Virginia Tech.
