Local School Threat
A threat found in a Franklin School District bathroom is causing a boost in security in that Venango County district.
A message indicating Virginia Tech style violence would happen in Franklin on Friday was found on Tuesday.
A private security firm has been retained to monitor the schools.
State police and Franklin city police will be at the schools on Friday.
Security personnel will be equipped with metal detectors and will conduct random searches.
Letters have been sent home to parents explaining the precautions.
An investigation is underway.
