Local Students to Compete in Washington

students competeStudents from Corry High School left around 7:00 a.m. Friday for a national competition in Washington D.C. The team was headed to Buffalo where they would board a plane to Washington D.C. In the nations capitol, the students will compete in the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution national competition. The events take place Saturday and Sunday. The students will take part in a simulted congressional hearing where they will serve as expert witnesses testifying on constitutional issues. Corry students won the Pennsylvania state competition to earn their way to nationals.
