Taking the Jackpot to the Bank

watch video
County Executive Mark Divecchio deposited the first proceeds check from Presque Isle Downs Casino gaming revenue Monday morning. The first quarterly check totaled more than $400,000. The money is separated evenly into two separate accounts of restricted and non-restricted funds. It still has not been determined how the funds will be distributed, but Divecchio says the county will take its time in making that decision. Divecchio said he hopes to distribute some of the gaming money to assist with the John Kanzius Cancer Research project.
