Couple Tells Their Side of The Story

watch video
Our Dan Wells went to Frontier Park where the incident happened around 7 O’clock Sunday night. Police charged 41-year old Jeffrey Gentile, with summary offenses of cruelty to animals, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after allegedly abusing his lab here at the park. Authorities also charged 53-year old Gail Gentile was also charged with public drunkenness.

Police say witnesses called them to complain that the dog was being abused. But that is not what the couple says happened. They say there are two sides to every story.

The couple says they routinely take their dog to the park to run and play and this incident has been blown out of proportion.

Meanwhile, the dog is in the care of the Anna Shelter until the couple's preliminary hearing. And it appears that there are more troubles ahead for the couple.

Police say when Gentile's went to district Judge Tom Robie's office on Monday so that Gail could to plead not guilty to public drunkenness in connection with the dog incident, Jeffery hit a parked car in the parking lot and was charged with a DUI.
