Our Sarah Arbogast tells us the incidents are keeping local students and administrators on edge.

Unfortunately, dealing with threats of violence has become a regular occurrence for school officials all across the country and right here in our area.

Officials with the Erie School District say this time of the year when the weather starts to warm up tends to be the most popular for bomb scares and other terroristic threats. Just this week, both Cambridge Springs Elementary school and Fairview Middle school went through some tense moments because of threats.

Because of the rising number of violent situations, school officials are taking each and every threat seriously. They're also talking to students about the consequences of their actions. Officials say about 90 percent of the students who make some type of threat are caught and pay a big price.
