Gas Prices on the Rise... Again!
And there is no sign of relief. Gas prices are hovering near record levels with the national average over three dollars and there are reports that they may go as high as $4.00 per gallon. The government says prices are headed for all-time highs. Americans use about 9.1 million gallons of gas per day.
Analysts say the high demand is driving the price up, but motorists say there's little they can do to change their driving habits. These days the average price in and around Erie range from $2.89 to $2.93 a gallon.
