Gaming Revenue Meeting

watch video
More Erie County organizations asked County Council Thursday night for a portion of Presque Isle Downs gaming revenue. About 40 people attended the meeting at Girard High School. Among the groups represented were the Erie Art Museum, Asbury Woods, and the Second Harvest Food Bank. They join dozens of others who have put in a request for gaming money that could add up to millions. County Council is looking to fund regional assets. A Lake Erie Ballet supporter saw how Atlantic City decided what to do with its gaming money and thinks Erie County is doing a better job. There is no firm timetable as to when council will make its decision on what groups get the money.
