Some fans waited hours in line at Tinseltown to get in to Thursdays midnight showings.
The theater has been selling advanced movie tickets for weeks.

However, die-hard Spider-man fans have been waiting a long time for the third installment of the series, and a lack of elbow room was the last thing on their mind.
The movie was released overseas earlier this week and has been setting opening day records.
