Central High School Safety Drill

 If you see flashing lights and hear sirens near Central High School on Monday... Dont panic. The school is holding a police training exercise. The simulated drill will involve a gunman who has gained access into the building. Hostages will be taken and central will be put on lock-down. An evacuation will also take place. Dozens of emergency responders and law enforcment agencies will participate. Dr. Jim Barker Erie Schools Superintendent said, "Well be simulating Monday as if in fact someone was coming into the school and was armed, how well do the police, the fire, all the emergency services respond, the hospitals." The drill is scheduled for around 1pm Monday afternoon. Its expected to take about 2 hours.
