Local Healthcare Program Cut

A component of Health South's Brain injury program was eliminated, Friday. Catastrophic cuts in insurance reimbursements are making it more and more difficult to fund such specialized programs. The Neuro-Behavior Technicians or NBT's played an important part in transitioning brain injured patients back into the lives they once knew. Despite a lack in funding from insurance companies, it appears Health South patients will still be able to receive specialized treatment, but it just may take a little longer to get the results they're hoping for.
