watch video
An Erie Man charged with inappropriately touching a 9-year old child learned his fate in court Monday morning. John Robert Payne was sentenced on a charge of aggravated indecent assault. He'll now spend a minimum of 5 years, 9 months in prison, plus 5 years on probation. During Monday's hearing it was also determined that Payne was not a sexually violent predator. Erie police say Payne had been fondling and inappropriately touching the then 9-year old victim for more than six years.
