Sexual AssaultThe brutal assault and home invasion of an elderly woman on Erie's east side has police looking for answers.

Police say an armed robber broke into a 75-year-old woman's home on Glendale Avenue early Friday morning.

The intruder sexually assaulted the victim, took about $100 cash from the residence, and then fled on foot.

At this point, police are not releasing many details. They believe it was an isolated incident, however there will be extra patrols in the area.

Police say they are looking into several leads.
