President BushJust as the U.S. House prepares to introduce another Iraq War spending bill, retired Major General John Batiste has helped launch a half a million dollar ad campaign targeting President Bush and republican lawmakers. The first of three ads was released Wednesday. The key phrase in the campaign is "protect America, not Bush." Thursday a group critical of the Iraq War, votevets.org, was in Erie to support this campaign series. The group says President Bush and legislatures are risking Americas security. In response to the groups visit to the area, the Erie County Republican Committee Chairman released a statement saying the groups message is mind boggling considering troops are fighting to protect the world from terrorists.
