Construction worker hit by car

AccidentA 23 year old Mercer man, directing traffic around a construction zone was struck by a car this morning while standing by the side of the road. The accident happened just before 7 this morning along route 322 near Helbig road in Crawford County. Andrew Frantz of Mercer was directing traffic when he was struck by a car driven by 26 year old Mary Patterson of Hartstown. Patterson told police she was blinded by the sun and did not see Frantz. He was taken to UPMC hospital in Greenville
