Waldameer Park Opens
Despite the rainy spring like conditions, Waldameer Park opened its doors for the season on Saturday. Park goers were especially excited about the new attraction called the "X Scream." The "X Scream" has a great view of Lake Erie from the top but you need to take a quick glance!
This ride rises slowly to the top and then takes a 140 foot plunge in one split second.
But if coasters are more your style, you'll be pleased to know that work on the Ravine Flyer II is well under way.
This coaster will cross over Peninsula Drive with spectacular scenes and will be ready by summer of 2008.
Some other new features at the park this year are a new food and game area. Waldameer is open on weekends throughout May and six days a week the rest of the summer.
